The international workshop “Historical Sources Just One Click Away. The Issue of Digital Editions and Accessing Historical Sources in Virtual Space” convenes a wide range of international experts from Hungary, the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria to discuss current affairs and future perspectives of the digital Humanities, virtual archives, online archival sources, digital approaches towards archival documents and digitization procedures.
The workshop is in English and takes place at the Faculty of Arts, Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archive Studies of the Masaryk University in Brno.

Towards a digital edition of the charters of the abbey S. Maria della Grotta with Monasterium.Net
Within the project ENArC – European Network on Archival Cooperation (EU Culture Programme 2007-2013) and the project L’edizione digitale e cartacea dei documenti dell’Italia Meridionale in Monasterium.Net, sponsored by the Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II (Fonds Contribution for International Agreements, A.F. 2014), the research group on the documental patrimony of S. Maria della Grotta started the digital edition in Monasterium.Net of the abbey’s 13th century documents.
The aim is to test for the first time in Europe Monasterium’s software MOM-Ca for the creation of a digital edition.

co:op project at workshop on innovation policies for Cultural Heritage Institutions in Budapest (HU)
The co:op project will be presented at the National Library in Budapest (HU) within a workshop that deals with the question of what kind of policies can be applied to cultural institutions in order to best prepare them for cooperation with citizens and their organisations in research on cultural heritage.
In this context the opportunities of the topotheques as cultural heritage preserving tools, run by citizens themselves and as vital part of the co:op activities, will be introduced to the workshop participants.
The workshop is being organized by Civic Epistemologies – Development of a Roadmap for Citizen Researchers in the Digital Culture.

The second topotheque day takes place within the framework of the 6th Lower Austrian Archives Day in St. Pölten (AT) and is divided into two parts:
Following the programme of the Lower Austrian Archives Day on 06 November, the participants and people interested in the topotheque will be given the opportunity to exchange information and experiences in a relaxed athmopshere before the current status, perspectives and possibilities of topotheques in Lower Austria will be presented.
Karl Heinz (ICARUS) will give an overview over ICARUS and its services, Alexander Schatek (Founder Topotheque) will present the Topotheque in general followed by a presentation of a specific Topotheque in detail.
On 7 November the topothequers will get together for a work meeting at the Archives of the Diocese of St. Pölten (AT), St. Pölten, Klostergasse 10.

University workshop
New times, new use-cases: digital repositories in archives and libraries
This workshop aims at describing how different meta data schemes and OAI-PMH protocols can be integrated into one management system. It will furthermore analyze data from Europeana (EDM) in view of how it can be applied to archives and libraries within the context of LInked Open Data.

This exhibition is dedicated to LIPSZKY János (1766-1826) – a hussar officer known for his cartographic accomplishments – celebrating his 250th birth anniversary.
Both, the exhibition and the accompanying flash conference are jointly organized by the National Széchényi Library and the National Archives of Hungary.

As part of the opening ceremony, the experts from the NSzL, the National Archives of Hungary, the Institute and Museum of Military History, the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary and the Eötvös Loránd University will present their relevant research.

The National Archives of Hungary organizes a round table within the EU-funded project co:op (community as opportunity) between archivists and users aiming at exchanging valuable experiences and improve team work between archival experts and the user commnuity.
The event will be held in Hungarian, registration is kindly reqeusted.
The second Czech topoteque was just recently set up in the Czech village Podolí I which is located in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
Now, the village Podolí I holds a special “Bring your History” day organized within the EU-funded project co:op (community as opportunity) inviting its citizens to and the community to get to know the exciting opprtunities of the service tool “topotheque”.
Milada Jiroušková, the topotequer of Podoli I, will introduce and explain the topotheque to the interested public and invite everyone to join this iniative and help showcase the village’s history by providing archival material from personal collections.
The Seminar “The Archival Military System in the Community of Madrid” aims to raise awareness towards the panorama of military archives that are based in the Community of Madrid.
To that end, it will be introduced with a lecture on the Archival Military System with respect to the Spanish State. Then there will be two round tables; one focused about central and general archives, and the other historical archives.

Inauguration of the first Hungarian topotheque Berettyóújfalu
The first Hungarian topoteque has been established within the cooperation between the Local Government of Berettyóújfalu City and the Budapest City Archives. On 18 June 2016 the topotheque Berettyóújfalu will officially go online and be freely accessible for the general public.
This event is being celebrated within a “Bring your history day” organized within the EU-funded project “co:op“, inviting the interested public and the community of Berettyóújfalu to join the celebration.
Programm
The topotheque managers of “Berettyóújfalu” will first present the over 150 documents already available in their topotheque and are happy to share their experiences with the attending audience. All participants are warmly invited to bring along their own private archival material such as letters, photos, documents, recorderd material etc. to be added to the topotheque and shared with the community, if they wish.
