Script is everywhere! And it speaks of our history …
This year’s Palaeography course (March-May 2015) for the Master Degree students in “Organization and Administration of the Cultural and Environmental Heritage” will provide an overview on the evolution of Latin Script and show it as a tangible part of our cultural heritage waiting to be discovered, understood, protected and valued. Moreover the lectures will trace a path from traditional to new digital methodologies by using the digital archives available on the international platform Monasterium.Net and by actively engaging the students by employing Monasterium’s tool MOM-Ca.
The course is organized in the context of ENArC – European Network on Archival Cooperation (EU Culture Programme 2007-2013) and co:op – Community as Opportunity. The creative Archives’ and Users’ network (Creative Europe. Support Programme for Europe’s Cultural and Creative Sectors from 2014).
University workshop
New times, new use-cases: digital repositories in archives and libraries
This workshop aims at describing how different meta data schemes and OAI-PMH protocols can be integrated into one management system. It will furthermore analyze data from Europeana (EDM) in view of how it can be applied to archives and libraries within the context of LInked Open Data.

The Seminar “The Archival Military System in the Community of Madrid” aims to raise awareness towards the panorama of military archives that are based in the Community of Madrid.
To that end, it will be introduced with a lecture on the Archival Military System with respect to the Spanish State. Then there will be two round tables; one focused about central and general archives, and the other historical archives.

As official kick-off and public introduction of the Croatian archives network “ICARUS HR”, this event focuses on international initiatives and projects dedicated to the possibilities of future-oriented cooperation and development of IT infrastructures for making cultural heritage accessible in the digital age.
The Topotheque: Linking heritage institutions and communities
Organized within the EU-funded project “co:op”, ICARUS HR and ICARUS will introduce the online service tool Topotheque to the interested public in Vukovar (HR).
After the recent inauguration of ICARUS HR, representatives of the Croatian ICARUS network will pressent current international initiatives and projects dedicated to the possibilities of cooperation and common development of information infrastructure in the presentation of cultural heritage.

On March 23rd, 2022 ICARUS hosts the fifth online lecture!
Anabela Borges Teles Ribeiro, Maria dos Remédios Amaral (DGLAB) and Dorottya Szabó (National Archives of Hungary) are partners of the European Digital Treasures project and present their transmedia-exhibitions, which were created within the framework of EDT project!
