Following the “Digital Humanities on Thursday” (2019), this convention brings scholars from different disciplines together to reflect on perspectives, methods and possible future applications of the digital in the medieval sector, with an opening to the European strategies for sharing and disseminating results of the research.
Digital technologies and methods are getting the topics and practices of medieval studies increasingly broader, with important implications on research, teaching and on general public engagement.
The chance of virtually reconstructing some largely fragmented historical contexts not only raises new questions and suggestions for investigation, but also makes contents and problems of great complexity available to a non-specialised public, contributing to improve awareness of the historical heritage and increase the demand for cultural training.
See the web page of the conference for the programme, abstracts and registration: http://www.coop-unina.org/patrimonio-culturale-medievale-e-tecnologie-digitali-ricerca-formazione-terza-missione/
We look forward to welcoming you to the ICARUS Convention #26!
