Welcome MUSA!

Another exciting institution has recently joined our ICARUS network: the Centro MUSA – Centro Museale delle Scienze Agrarie!

The MUSA centre was established by fusing the Museums of Agrarian Sciences and is one of the Museum Centers of the University Federico II of Naples (IT). It was established in 2011 and is located, with the Herculanense Museum, at the Royal Portici Site. The MUSA centre includes: the Botanical Garden of Portici, the Oratio Comes Botanical Museum, the Entomologico Museum Filippo Silvestri, the Museum of Mineralogical Anthropology Antonio Parascandola, the Carlo Santini Agricultural Museum, the Tato Manlio Bettini Anatomo-Zootechnical Museum and the Library historical museum. In addition, under an agreement with the Superintendence and Province, MUSA also manages the Herculaneum Museum.

This museum encounters the world with curiosity and likes to experiment with unusual perspectives on the world surrounding us to create and discover a manifold future full of creative ideas!
